Congratulations to ConVal senior Chris Robbins who was crowned state champion 2023 NHIAA Division III Championships. Registering his 100th career win in the first match of the state tournament by pin, Robbins won the 195 weight class championship matchup against Alex Descoteau of John Stark High School.

At the NH State Meet of Champions at Bedford High School on February 25, Robbins defeated Tom LaCroix in the quarter-finals and Zachary Connerty in the semi-finals. At the same event, he received the DiCenzo-Gavriel Award for Best Sportsmanship and won a scholarship as one of the top three student-athletes in the sport.

Robbins went on to compete on March 3-4 in the New England Championships at the Providence Career and Tech Academy in Providence, RI, where he defeated Imanol Taveras of Providence in the quarter-finals and placed third overall with a semi-final win over Brendan Gilchrist of Norwalk, CT.
