Seniors Take Trip To Six Flags Of New England

After their last day of class and finals, ConVal seniors enjoyed a bit of fun leading up to graduation. Following up on the Athletic and Academic Awards and Scholarship Night on Wednesday, on Thursday they got to enjoy the traditional Senior Breakfast at ConVal and then took off for their senior trip which took them to Six Flags of New England in Agawam, MA.

“This past week was busy and full but it was a week of celebration and fun,” said graduation advisor Jim Wickham. “I sincerely enjoyed working with this group of students in my role as graduation advisor.”

“The graduates were attentive during rehearsals during the week, and worked hard to be prepared for graduation on Friday,” he continued. “On Wednesday, Superintendent Dr. Rizzo Saunders took a moment on the mic to tell the graduates that this was a phenomenal dress rehearsal, maybe the best she’s ever seen.”

“Thursday was filled with activities, starting with Senior Breakfast and then straight to the buses for Six Flags. It rained most of the bus ride there, but it was mid-70s and sunny the entire time we were at the amusement park. The students were thrilled by the roller coasters and other rides. The 80 seniors couldn’t have asked for a better concluding experience, especially since they had missed out on fun group activities and days like this during most of their high school careers.”
