This past weekend, 18 ConVal students traveled to New York City to participate in the Youth Service Opportunities Project. The annual trip is sponsored by ConVal Student Council.
Students worked in homeless shelters, soup kitchens, food pantries and other service agencies around the city.
It is not a trip for sightseeing and touring–students work hard, sleep on a church floor, and return to ConVal 36 hours later. It’s a very fulfilling trip for the students and opens their eyes to problems of the world.
