The Next Steps NH Project provides professional development and coaching for the purpose of increasing the graduation rates of students at risk and students with disabilities. This is achieved by implementing evidence-based transition planning practices that help students prepare for college, career, and adult life.
Four ConVal students were chosen to participate in this year’s annual Transition Summit. Garrett Shows presented on his internship and job experiences while Riley Young, Lily Denehy, and Manny Bowman participated as panel members.
The Transition Summit is the only statewide conference devoted to training, collaboration, networking, and information sharing that is focused on postsecondary outcomes for students; it took place at the Grappone Center in Concord on November 16.
