Over February break, nine ConVal students of Spanish participated in a trip to Costa Rica. Señor Kennedy guided the immersive language learning experience in conjunction with the company Ecoteach.
The students visited an organic coffee cooperative, spent nights with local families, visited a school, rode horses, and got to explore the ecology and ecosystems Costa Rica’s Caribbean Coast.
“We had a great trip and learned a lot,” Mr. Kennedy said. “Students saw animals like sloths, crocodiles, tropical birds, and iguanasin their natural habitats, they got to interact with native speakers, and we ate some great food.”
