As part of the ecology unit in Biology, students are collecting and analyzing field data on the health of the pond ecosystem.
Students are learning about the difference between abiotic and biotic factors, identifying macroinvertebrates, and testing the water quality of the pond.
At the conclusion of the survey, students will be able to determine the factors affecting the water quality of the pond and how human activity can have a direct effect on the ecosystem.
