Woodworking teacher Gil Morris works with several students on a variety of power tools, including a band sander, planer, and lathe machine.
In this woodworking class, students are introduced to the proper and safe use of hand tools, portable and stationary power equipment. Safety, material processing, project layout, design, and fabrication are emphasized. Individual student-designed projects are produced and finished after the required projects are completed.
The course serves as an introduction to the Building and Construction Trades or Manufacturing programs.
